The registration for exhibiting in the Pavilion of Denmark at Nor-Shipping 6-9 June 2023 is now open.

Nor-Shipping - one of the leading maritime events in Scandinavia

Nor-Shipping attract more than 30,000 key players from the global maritime and ocean industries gathered for conferences, seminars, executive meetings and social events during the exhibition. The conference will feature both presentations and roundtable discussions.

It showcases 20,000 square meters of the lastest maritime technology, services and solutions spread across five halls.

Danish Export - Marine arranges a joint national pavilion for suppliers within the marine and offshore energy industry.

The market

Norway is one of the world’s largest maritime offshore nations and has been a major player in shipping and shipbuilding for more than 150 years.  With a population of only 5.4 million, Norway is considered a superpower on the seas, controlling the world’s 5th largest merchant fleet, by value.

A total of 1,783 Norwegian-controlled ocean-going ships are registered in 2021.  Norwegian ship owners are especially active within shipping areas like offshore service/specialty vessels, oil tankers, bulk carriers, chemical tankers, gas (LNG/LPG) tankers, car carriers, and cruise operations.  The Norwegian fleet is less exposed to the turmoil in the container market.

Norway has a long tradition of utilizing the maritime environment, including major activities in commercial shipping, fishing, and aquaculture.  The market for leisure boats is also large in Norway, with an estimated 800,000 unregistered boats.  The Norwegian coastline is the world’s second longest and measures over 20,000 km.

Pavilion design and new initiatives in 2023

The pavilion moves closer to the hall entrance: Pavilion of Denmark will have the same great location in Hall C – but in 2023 we are moving slightly forward in the hall.

More visitors in Hall C: Thermal cameras confirmed that the hall has a very high activity every day compared with other halls in 2022. This will be measured again in 2023.

New access ways: A new exhibiton area will be built between hall B and C. This means new access ways into hall C next to the Pavilion of Denmark, and therefore more traffic is expected between hall B and C.

New pavilion design: Based on the great experiences and exhibitor feedback from SMM, September 2022, the pavilion design will be the same at Nor-Shipping 2023. This includes:

  • Solid walls, Octanorm.
  • Fabric solutions for the walls will be available.
  • The walls are drawn one meter into the stand area for better visibility of the stands
  • Standard wall height 2500mm unless an agreement is made.
  • Pavilion of Denmark branding at the wall between booths.
  • Company name in the carpet.
  • Pavilion of Denmark branding at the ceiling.
