    Amir Cahn joined SWAN in 2013 and has been instrumental in growing the organisation into the leading global hub for the smart water sector. Throughout his time, he has helped engage members, develop in-depth research reports, and create innovative tools such as the SWAN Interactive Tool and SWAN Research Portal. In conjunction with SWAN: Smart Water Networks Forum Amir is now pursuing a PhD focused on the impact of the Data-as-a-Service model on water and wastewater management.

    Martin Shouler is the London Water Leader at the international engineering consultancy Arup. With over 30 years’ experience, Martin works on water and related projects across Building Engineering and Infrastructure. Martin has extensive experience in the field of water system engineering, having been involved in a wide range of major projects in design, research and consultancy across the world. His expertise includes water supply, sanitation, sewerage, water conservation and efficiency, water quality, water treatment, wastewater engineering and infrastructure services. He has undertaken research and consultancy for many UK government departments, including the Ministry of Housing of Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), and the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI).
