SPG in Barcelona is a global leading exhibition for the entire seafood industry, where stakeholders, decision markers, buyers and suppliers from the global fish/seafood processing, fishing and aquaculture industry meet.

SPG is held in parallel with Seafood Expo Global and allover Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in 2023 saw record breaking numbers both in terms of both space and participants. The event welcomed more than 34,000 participants from all around the world during its 3 bustling days of business exchanges.

To be competitive and future-oriented the fish/shell fish processing industry in Spain have a need to streamline and optimize the value creation in the industry and Danish suppliers have strong competences and technology for streamlining and assuring value optimization within fish processing which might contribute to develop and lift the industry in Spain to a new level. 

Both the seafood processing and aquaculture industry in Spain are considered to have considerable growth potential. The development plans for the industries are ambitous and new projects in the Spanish aquaculture industry are under way with new land-based aquaculture facilities under construction. 

SPG is the strongest industry platform to meet relevant stakeholders from the target industries. More than 86% of visitors at SPG 2023 indicated, that they have actual purchasing authority and are involved in or influence purchasing decision and 75% of visitors, who were looking to place an order or appoint a supplier achieved their objectives at SPG. 

This event is subsidised by The Trade Council. To participate with subsidy, your company must be eligible to receive subsidies based on the de-minimis-rules and regulations from the Trade Council.

The de minimis-enactment means that a company can receive public subsidies of maximum EUR 300,000 within a period of three financial years. To receive subsidies, companies must be registered with a Danish VAT-number and complete a business form.
