Nor-Fishing – the must attend meeting place and exhibition for the fisheries industry.

Nor-Fishing has established a name as one of the leading Nordic exhibitions dedicated to commercial fisheries and related fish processing industry. The exhibition offers Danish companies the opportunity to showcase their products and solutions to a vast audience of decision-makers, key buyers and stakeholders from the fisheries and fish processing industries. The exhibition is attended by key industry players and visitors from primarily Norway and the North Atlantic but also attracts an important international audience.

Nor-Fishing has a strong focus on the latest innovations within equipment and fishing technology and state of the art products. Solutions and services for the entire value chain of the fishing industry will be presented at Nor-Fishing.

Nor-Fishing took place as a physical event the last time in 2018 and the industry is eager to gather again at the in-person Nor-Fishing exhibition in 2022. The last Nor-Fishing attracted around 19,000 professionals, decision-makers and other stakeholders from more than 50 different countries.

Nor-Fishing 2022 will be held as a hybrid event offering exhibitors to have a digital meeting place and trade fair platform in addition to the presence and exposure at the traditional exhibition grounds in Trondheim.

Norwegian fishing industry in brief

Norway is one of the leading fishing nations in the world and have a very strong position within fisheries and related processing industry and the Norwegian market thus represents an important and interesting potential for Danish suppliers to the fisheries and fish processing industry.

The Norwegian fishing fleet is modern and have a constant focus on innovative, efficient and environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions. These are areas in which Danish equipment/solutions suppliers excel and have strong expertise. The Norwegian fishing fleet has in recent years announced several new-buildings of top modern fishing vessels and factory trawlers and have intensified the focus on a fishing fleet with a minimized environmental footprint integrating environmentally efficient and sustainable solutions in new vessels. Focus also goes for more gentle fishing gear and handling solutions for the fish on board.

For the fish processing industry Norway has an ambition of maximizing value generation of the fish in Norway instead of sending this fish abroad for further processing. This however also requires massive investments to optimize the industry and building it into a competitive industry. A required transformation where Danish solutions and technology could also be part of the answer as Danish companies also have strong competences and technology to offer for optimization of the fish processing.

The focus of transforming the industry in Norway as a whole demands new and innovative technology and can open up for sales of Danish solutions and innovative groundbreaking technology.
