Subsidy is based on a minimum of 7 participating companies. For your company to be eligible for subsidy, the "de-minimis-subsidies" for export promotion activities apply.

The focus and objective with the delegation trip is for Danish companies to meet with the global water company VEOLIA to create relationships and cooperation agreements for new sales channels in the French market and internationally.
Participating companies will also visit and meet with sites (wastewater treatmentplants and industries), that are operated by VEOLIA. Participants will get the opportunity to understand the industry's challenges and pitch own solutions and technologies.

We will meet with key technical staff, category managers, and visit sites (industries and utilities) operated by VEOLIA

The market and opportunities
Water Utilities (wastewater)
- VEOLIA has activities in 48 countries and in 2021 the VEOLIA group supplied 79 million people with drinking water and 61 million people with wastewater services, operated 2,750 treatment plants, and 3,367 drinking water production plants.
- Within wastewater VEOLIA works with all steps from the collection system to the treatment plant and reuse/recovery. Solutions that provide energy and resource efficient operations at low TCO are high in demand.

The market and opportunities
Industry
- Industry is one of the main water users in Europe, accounting for about 40 % of total water abstractions, according to Eurostat, the European statistics agency. Statistics don’t differ much in other parts of the world. Water is used at every step of the production process, like for cooling, heating, polishing, cleaning/washing, diluting etc.
- VEOLIA is providing innovative, competitive solutions, and top-level expertise that helps manage industries’ entire water cycle: from abstraction or desalination to producing process water through to treating and recycling wastewater and sludge.

Tentative program

Day 1
- Meeting at the Danish embassy in Paris. Review of the program and introduction to the French water sector.

Day 2
- Morning: Meeting with VEOLIA and visit a water-consuming industry or utility operated by VEOLIA. The company will present its own production, challenges, wishes, and plans followed by short presentations from participants. Tour of the facility with ample opportunity for dialogue and discussion. Completion and review of follow-up.
- Afternoon: Visit and workshop with VEOLIA. Workshop begins with a presentations by VEOLIA category managers, technical specialists, and new business group. VEOLIA will introduce strategy, innovation, projects, procurement and forms of collaboration. Aarhus Vand participates in the delegation and will present relevant projects from Aarhus. Afterwards, participants will present their own products and cases, followed by round table discussions and dialogue.
- Evening: Reception with VEOLIA and guests from the water sector and delegation participants.

Day 3
- Morning and afternoon: Meetings with VEOLIA, the day will proceed as the program of the previous day.
- Delegation wrap up, plan for follow-up and return home.
