The Russian authorities in 2018 implemented a long-term development/growth strategy plan (towards 2030) for the Russian fisheries, fish processing and aquaculture sector intended to support and boost the development of the industries and assure their contribution in meeting the ambitious goal of doubling Russia's revenues from seafood exports by 2024 and double the country's fish production by 2027-30

The Strategy Development Plan is targeting both aquaculture, fisheries and related processing industry.

The aquaculture industry is set to double its fish production by 2027-2030 and the Russian fishing fleet is undergoing a complete reneval and modernization these year with many new fishing vessels under construction and new processing plants being currently built across the country - all scheduled to enter into production between 2021-2023. The Russian aquaculture, fish processing and fisheries industry is undergoing a true transformation these years.
